As much as it pains a Yorkshire man to write about himself in the third person, here’s our story timeline, so you can understand the grit behind the drive…
In 2004, Stephen and Ben formed Drive By Media, a family business providing roadside advertising to local & national companies that wanted to target the millions of people that use our A-roads and motorways every day.
From day one the goal was to provide a cost-effective service with a refreshing way of communicating with clients.
That service earnt Drive By Media a loyal customer base that continues to grow today.
2007 – Supplied our first self-drive mobile trailer to a client.
2008 - Fitted our first window graphics and internal signage.
2011 - Added HGV advertising vehicles to our static and mobile services.
2013 - A tough year, as Stephen passed away following a 9-month battle against Pancreatic Cancer.
2014 - The Tour De France came to Yorkshire and Drive by Media was asked by Aunt Bessie’s to create a Guerrilla campaign that would allow them to engage with the millions of people that watched the cycling. This was our first Special Build and was seen as a great success, when our mobile solution made it onto the finishing line through Harrogate.
2015 – The introduction of larger static sites which led to billboard frameworks.
2017 – Sites added in Scotland and the introduction of digital boards.
With a background in hospitality, Ben understands that the client must come first; this attitude has allowed Drive By Media to build a fantastic array of relationships with suppliers, allowing us to increase the services we offer.
(We won’t mention what his background in rugby has given him, though 😀)
2020 - Drive By Media is evolving into a full service agency with a difference…
